SPEAKER_02Huh? It's a mature cousin.
SPEAKER_03But the I don't I don't think I don't think I'm they big cousin. They your big cousin. Something. I think I'm the little cousin. I just said your cousins.
SPEAKER_01I didn't say who was big and little.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, little dog make you the little cousin for sure. For sure.
SPEAKER_02No, for real. He makes me the little auntie. I'd be like, who am I? Cousin. I'd be like, wait a minute. I ain't used to no baby bossing me around. Hold on, little boy. All right, that's awesome. I'd love to hear it. Love to hear you guys. All right. So we're just gonna jump right into it. So that's enough of that shit. Go ahead. Listen, we had a great time. She got a whip when it comes to potting. Like when you get the beer and all, she be like, okay, let's bring it back in.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you go, you're gonna put me off then.
SPEAKER_02No, so listen, I love now. You know, I love me a good side quest. I love me a good side conversation.
SPEAKER_03See, my problem is the side quest turned into the main event too quick. Oh, too quick. She's not gonna let you. Yeah, no, you gotta understand where I'm coming from because dog is his it's I don't even baby.
SPEAKER_02Blaze ain't gonna let you do it.
SPEAKER_03I'm not about to get started. Just know somebody asked us a question that they should have known the answer to.
SPEAKER_01Okay, oh yes, I'm still mad.
SPEAKER_03If you came over from the relation reality podcast, yes, I'm still mad.
SPEAKER_02Bro, still talking about bro.
SPEAKER_03Yes, I'm still mad.
SPEAKER_02We're not even visiting that right.
SPEAKER_03Oh, don't visit it because I'm gonna take the trip.
SPEAKER_02They're talking about everybody in the whole studio's pissed. All right, all right. So you know you want to know? No, no, no, no, no, no. No, here at Cocktails and Girl Talk, we are all about the good vibes, empowerment, and shit like that. So, no, I'm sorry, that was your experience, but yeah, you ain't gotta worry about that over here. Uh huh. So, we're gonna jump right
Real Life Vs Social Media Goals
SPEAKER_02into it. Real life versus social media. Should we be careful of our quote unquote relationship slash life goals based on social media? Based on social media, okay. Who wanna go first? Research question, real life versus social media, right? Because I didn't want to say the wrong response. No, yeah, yeah, you good real life versus social media. Should we be careful of our quote unquote relationship and life goals? So I'm gonna elaborate a little bit.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's what I was gonna ask. Like, okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I'm gonna jump in and elaborate a little bit on that. What we see on social media for relationships, right? It's always the the sweetest part of it, right? It's the sweetest part of the story, it's the it's the sweetest, the sweetest part of like the honeymoon phase and all the great stuff, and then we become uh brainwashed to thinking that all relationships have to be like this, right? So, where where do we uh draw the line and say, okay, this is real life, and this is social media at your front door in your home, okay, in your home, in your home, at your front door, because you can be whoever you want to be on social media, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, for sure, but in your home, that's who you really are.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so why live for social media? Oh, that's what I was gonna say.
SPEAKER_03Why life because someone always got maybe not you're talking about like for yourself, like yourself making the post, comparing it like comparing yourself to goals you see on Instagram, yeah. Bait, I don't I ain't you feel me. I know Instagram full of creative characters, yeah. I know somebody that uh post that they hate they men, but they land in the I'm watching them lay in the bed together right now. Like I'm out, I damn never be feeling like the nigga type shit.
SPEAKER_02Or you can see somebody post like ten thousand dollars, right? But it's they man's money, yeah. Facts for the same nigga nigga on the uh on the on the Instagram with chains and jewelry and money and fresh ass cars and all that, and the whole time it's because you over your man's house and he doing good, creative characters.
SPEAKER_03That's what I just said. Instagram full of creative characters, but everybody don't think like that, right?
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, no, everybody's gonna be able to do that because people go on social media, they be like, Oh, I wish my man would buy me that car, or I wish my man had that money, or I wish this was me, whatever, like that. And now you creating issues in your family or in your house because of what you see somebody else posting. Yeah, facts when the whole time, what about what they don't post? Exactly. Right? He bought her a brand new car, but he he she ain't post that black eye, she had to get to get the black brand new car, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like I said, like it's it starts at your household, your front door.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like yeah, they got a wedding, but what they didn't what they didn't post is that man marry her because he had a baby owner. So, should we be careful of our relationship and life goals? I feel like they should be separated.
SPEAKER_05They definitely you should I feel like life goals are personal. This is what you want to establish, this is you relationship goals. This is what you want to do with somebody else.
SPEAKER_03I feel like if you let Instagram or social media influence what you're gonna do for yourself, your head gone anyway, right? Right, because it's you why you like you feel me? Instagram and Facebook and Snapchat shouldn't be you should see something in real life, like dang, I shouldn't be doing that.
SPEAKER_02But what about what about the younger generation? Okay, so okay, so we're all I'm gonna just round everybody up. We're all 30 plus, yeah. So we're we're kind of out of the listen, relax. Oh my chill out, bro. Relax 25 plus, okay. Okay, okay. But even with even as a 25-year-old, you uh 25 is that's still a brinking uh age, but I feel like 25 is on when you're supposed to be on your way up the hill, yeah, because you you you you right at 30, right? You know what I'm saying? That's right. Okay, so in our in our age group, we're supposed to be living in a space where we know it's reality, you know what I'm saying? We know what's real, we're not, we know what's not real, but then you have younger, probably less guided, a part of the generation who they really look to what they see on social media to if is this right, is this wrong? Am I doing this right? Am I saying the right things? Am I doing the right thing? So that is then influencing relationships and and life goals and things like that.
SPEAKER_03And then you just set yourself up to never be satisfied.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I agree with that. I agree with that because you're always chasing something. I was gonna say you put in an unattainable goal in front of you because you want to make a goal off somebody else's goal who probably ain't even reached the goal themselves, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Like, but y'all both chasing the same thing that don't exist, but even if, right? Let's just say you get rich. Yo, you set the goal, you get rich, but you but you're an Instagram influenced goal person, you get your goals off Instagram. Say you get rich. I bought a yacht. Guess what? The nigga down the street just bought two.
SPEAKER_02That's true, too.
SPEAKER_03And if you're an Instagram influenced person, you oh my god, I gotta buy two yachts.
SPEAKER_05You're gonna bought a yacht off the Instagram post, but that man bought a yacht for two in his family, so like you he faking it's just like social media is you constantly digging yourself into a hoe, yeah.
SPEAKER_03You dig, all right, especially on it because it's always somebody always doing something on Instagram because you gotta think about it, right?
SPEAKER_02If you're trying to obtain what somebody else has already obtained, you never win, but their next step up is you never win. Your your your first step is their last step.
SPEAKER_05Yep.
SPEAKER_02So now you finally got your yacht, and now dog buying him a pontoon because he already had a yacht, so you know what I'm saying? Like he passed the yacht. So I do feel like I personally feel like having your goals based off somebody else's life, whether it's real life or social media, is crazy anyway. Because you your life is for you to live, don't base what you want off of life off what somebody else has, because you don't know what they had to go through to get where they are. I'm not even gonna front for y'all. I hate when people tell me that me and DTM are are like relationship goals. No, the fuck, we're not. Not that we don't have a good relationship. Yes, we've been together 27 years, but you don't know what had to go into this to get here, right? You know what I'm saying? The shit wasn't always gravy, we yeah, biscuits and gravy, rainbows and puppies and biscuits. That was some that was some fat nigga. He's hungry, he's hungry. But I'm just saying, right? So, yeah, you could take bits and pieces of what you like about somebody's life, but always, always, always create your own. That's the only way you're gonna be happy for sure. Because the only person who is relationship goes for me is me. I want to be better than I was yesterday. You know what I'm saying? I'm the only person who I want to emulate is myself. I want to be a better version of me. I can't be a better version of me if I want to be Lady Blaze.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because how if I'm not her, exactly. You don't, yeah, no, I get no what you think.
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, bro.
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_02Bro, your question, what yeah, um, yeah, no, yeah, I okay. So for me, I lived on both sides of the spectrum when social media really became a thing that was in a very pivotable time in my life, where I was like late teens, early 20s, and I worked in a nightlife and things like that. So we had very little little influences that were spoken about on the internet, right? Like just the the girls in the bars and like strippers and things like that. They didn't they didn't have an outwardly culture, right? So when they did uh you know, they're making their own pages and they're putting on their cute outfits and like it's in supposed, like you're on my mood board now, right? Right in a way, I could see that in a way, right? But then I evolved and went into another phase where I seen, and for me, I will delete a page in a heart. What's I have since 2021? I will you hear me? I will I will delete my social media so fast because I have lost touch with reality. Sometimes you gotta disconnect, you have to disconnect or unplug, you have to plug. Yeah, yeah. Remember, I was calling it a tether, like our phones are tethered, yeah. Yeah, I genuinely, yeah, you're so misplaced from reality that it's like this is the reality because this is all you're looking for. Because we gotta go in here and see where people are at, we gotta go in here and see what people join.
SPEAKER_05Look at so drinking that one out. Is the same person who got a million dollars on Instagram?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's true. Like, and then you gotta think about it. Like, what you just said something like, is it okay? My question is, is it okay to use social media as inspiration or info, but not ghost?
SPEAKER_03I was just about to say that you use it. You could use it as like throw it on the inspiration board, like yeah, that's that's that's something, but even with that, that and I'm I'm speaking from experience.
SPEAKER_02I'm like 20-ish, 21 cheetah girl, like I'm really looking for not a role model, but like a something to look up to, right? Because, like I said, the the nightlife in the the internet was not uh a combined thing like it is now. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, bitches will kill you. You put them on the flyer back then. Now it's 90 bitches on one flyer.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, for real.
SPEAKER_02You got a whole you got a whole menu to pick for the oh god, like we never knew what the dressing rooms look like, and all that other random stuff.
SPEAKER_05And we do a show up nowadays.
SPEAKER_02Listen, we used to take niggas' phone walking in. You got a camera on your phone? Oh no, you gotta take that back to the car, or you gotta leave it with us. You're not taking no camera phones. It used to be signs at the door, no camera phones, but now everybody like everybody got an iPhone, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, glasses, uh huh, meta glasses. Yeah, I wish you would take my glasses, but back then that wasn't a thing back then, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, facts. Like when camera phones first came out, y'all know it was like an extra piece that went on your phone.
SPEAKER_05Damn, damn TD. You talk about damn damn.
SPEAKER_02I'm talking about next tail chirping, walking around with a computer. You talk about brrr where you at? Yeah, so for me, when I came out of that and I I disconnected from that, and I started to live in the real day-to-day world. I was like, Okay, now I see where I was up at but damn, do that be depressing sometimes. Um, not for me, no, maybe not for you, but I can see that being depressing for somebody. I think it's awakening in the world and like make-believe, in a sense, you know what I'm saying? It's like when you find out like the two fairy not real, right? You know what I'm saying? Well, she's not real, right? And that's the thing that that's the band that we rip off at four. No, for DTM be buying teeth.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Pops used to buy the teeth. My baby sick with the two fairy still alive around the motherfucker.
SPEAKER_02No, we used to. Well, not we DTM will buy the teeth, and then the two fairy come get it from him. Because guess what? We be sleep and we forget to wake up and put the money under the floor. That's creative, though. That's that's creative. But I'm just saying, what I that's what I mean. Like that reality of finding out, like, that's not real. Like, the Easter money is not real. Yeah, so the reality of finding out these things aren't real. I wonder, is that the same reality of finding out, like, oh, that's not a real place? Yeah, Instagram, not a that's you know what just came to my mind? It's like when we read the baby books, the uh 10 things to expect while you're expecting, and none of that shit happened to us with Mariana. I swear I read every book there was public workbooks. I told her, I said, Sissy, I don't know if it's gonna help. And listen, I was looking at her like because you didn't read the books, you didn't read the books, and that's why you looking at me for reading. And a year into being an actual motherfucking sissy, all these books stupid. I said, Well, I said, none of this, none of this shit was in the book. Really? This none of it was in the book. Yeah, this is fake. None of this stuff was in the book. Where is it at? They said the book was better, they lied. Fossil. Um, and you just you grow, you know, you have to you just get to a pivotal point where you have to grow, and uh everybody don't, you know what I'm saying? You just that's but so when people don't grow, is that when we make the decision to disconnect from them?
SPEAKER_05Definitely, we should for sure. You're not gonna grow nowhere with them.
SPEAKER_02So we all agree. Not everybody speak at once, no, no, no stagnant shit over here. I agree. Y'all know I agree. You can't always make a flower bloom. That's true, that is true. No matter how much you water it. Hey, that was that was a hot take. You can't always make a flower bloom. I like that.
SPEAKER_03So I pour water over and that nigga seen that on Instagram. Okay, using it as inspiration.
SPEAKER_05I think you're funny because don't start with me.
SPEAKER_02Hilarious. All right, so this is uh this is one that I've been battling
Not Ready For A Relationship
SPEAKER_02with myself. Uh oh. I'm not ready for a relationship. Usually means not ready for one with you.
SPEAKER_03Agree or disagree, disagree, disagree, disagree. Because I could just not want a relationship with nobody, or I'm in my Duffy, I'm in my go yard. But are you saying you're not ready for one? I'm saying, like in that predicament, yes. I'm not saying it just because of you, I'm saying it because I'm not ready for one. Okay, don't feel that special. So see, that's the that's the that's the problem right there. Why do you feel so special that you the only person I don't want a relationship with? But then you wouldn't be really regardless, right? I'm not ready. So if I tell you that, don't oh, is it just because of me? Why do you feel that's that's why I don't want no relationship in that predicament? You feel me? Because why are you trying to make it about this don't got nothing to do with you? Why are you personalizing my feelings?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. And see, no, I agree though. No, I do too. But no, but with the question, like I do think if you're not ready for a relationship with one person doesn't mean you're not ready for a relationship with somebody else. False. I mean, yeah, I think that's crazy. I want to piggyback. I just because y'all know I love sounding normal. I love I love telling y'all my business. I love y'all so much. Damn, check a check, kind of. Um, I right now in a space that I'm in, I'm not ready for a relationship. You know what I'm saying? And it's not of one person, I can actively date, right? But to be in a committed relationship, uh that probably ain't my just right now. You know what I'm saying? Do I want to go out? Do I want to have a ball? Let's have a ball, you know what I'm saying? Let's let's let's do what lovers do. But it has to be on the same agreement. I have to be transparent about that because I know what I want. And if I go into a situation with you, knowing what you want, and I know that those things don't align, I am deceiving you, I am lying to you. You know what I'm saying? And then you're coming to me like, Well, you bae, and I'm like, No, no, I'm not. I'm I'm I'm I'm bestie, I'm bestie westy, and it bestie westy it it and that in that point in matters, you know what I'm saying? Like, so y'all don't think like if you're dating, right? Let's say you're not ready for a relationship, but you're dating, and then you meet somebody that you really vibing with, and like next thing you know, next thing you know, you only dating this one person, and now you done got into a relationship, not even on purpose.
SPEAKER_05But that that's that's the agreement that you that only happened on TV. You guys have to come to that.
SPEAKER_02What so don't that happen to really somebody trying to sneak into a relationship with me?
SPEAKER_05Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02See, they try to here we go, they try to sneak into a relationship with me. Yeah, and look, you you do get caught up in the whirlwind of like it's hot, it's new, it's exciting, it's it's the dopamine rushes. Is I'm a a what the fuck? What are you? ADHD. Girl, really? Listen, I would have never guessed my sister. I think we all got it. No, no, yeah, we do, we do. I'm not your cousin. Oh shit. Okay, y'all listen. For me, side quests like a mug. Okay, okay, bring it back in, bring it back in. For me, the dopamine rushes. I I live for that. I that that's literally what what I thrive accidentally, you know what I'm saying? So you always been like that though, sis. Like you always been an adrenaline junk.
SPEAKER_03Junkie, like, let's go. Huh? Definitely. Like, I think that's where I get it from. Oh, I was about to say I was about to say that. That's a real one right there. Because I get sad when I'm like, dang, my heart ain't beat fast in so long. I'm sad. Let me go blow the police officer shit out. Whoa, that's a lot of Nancy.
SPEAKER_05And I can you see how they go too far every time?
SPEAKER_03So you ain't do that when I was 12.
SPEAKER_05Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Talk about it.
SPEAKER_02Uh so listen, you guys. What what the question was.
SPEAKER_03She said, Y'all bored? Let's go do okay.
SPEAKER_02Listen, the question I was thinking about that time we went to Michigan Adventure, and y'all went on that fucking ride. I don't was it a ride? Oh, it's the zipline. It wasn't even no, it was the orangey cord, like the pool cord, the pool court, yes. That's exactly what you put. But listen, I'm five nine. Kiante four three. Whoa, before three. Who is that? Nobody, the person who I was talking about.
SPEAKER_03So listen, please don't say his real name on here.
SPEAKER_02No, never. But listen, we're gonna have a lot of things. It was the it was like size difference. I'm so tall, he's so short. So when I let the core go, our bodies bro find him back again. No, I had him. I had him, you hold on to the back of like two minutes. I was balling my eyes out when they got off that ride. I just ran up to him and just started hugging them because, bro, bro, like what the did you fall?
SPEAKER_03Fun fact about my mom, she be crying every time, and I just be looking like, bro, what are you crying for? Tell me about it. For instance, somebody got shot.
SPEAKER_04Oh, damn.
SPEAKER_03That person was fine. She walks in the room balling, crying. What are you crying? Did you get are you okay?
SPEAKER_02Well, let's give some backstory. That isn't some backstory.
SPEAKER_03No, no, that's gonna be a that's gonna be a deep sign.
SPEAKER_02I was just okay. It's an unfortunate situation. And as a mother to know that your baby is hurting in any kind of way, what if he wasn't hurting? But what if you walk in the door and the lady said that he was dead? Damn. Well, she didn't say he was dead. She said that a patient had died. When I said his name, she said, Oh, he in that room right there. The room say more. Fuck you, mean. Yeah. Damn. Yeah. Then she said, last or your left. What the fuck? Oh no, he in surgery. I'm like, what? She like, actually, they're gonna take you back there to him. So black ladies, just stop giving me emotions was gotta love Detroit, guys. Okay, yeah. Gotta love Detroit.
SPEAKER_03You dead in surgery and just find all in one time.
SPEAKER_02Literally at the same time. So he was in the room getting a flesh wound cleaned up. But in her defense, seeing that I know a bullet that can be so detrimental just went through in and out. Granted, thank God, right? But that still hurts. Like, oh my god, my fucking baby. And then sometimes the tears are tears of relief, right? Yeah, 100%. Because you're not dead or in surgery.
SPEAKER_05I'm just chilling. I'm just chilling sitting here.
SPEAKER_02Chill on me, my nigga, because I smack everybody. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we heard it. We heard it. We heard it.
SPEAKER_02See, it's always that way.
SPEAKER_04We heard it. We heard it. We heard it.
SPEAKER_02I'm definitely a smack. You please don't. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Lady Blaze. I love it. I love it. I love it. Y'all ain't come back on our show. And I know we're kind of we're kind of going through them quickly, and I I love that. I just want to get a couple of of these things out. I'm sorry, I secure the security man. This is distracting. Yeah, I'm like distracting.
SPEAKER_05I'm checking my pocket like am I? So I got a question for y'all. Let's go.
What Loyalty Really Means
SPEAKER_05Tell me about it.
SPEAKER_02When it comes to loyalty, right? Is it about how long you've known someone or how they've shown up for you?
SPEAKER_03How they show up? Show up. Period. For sure. Period. Because somebody you could meet somebody today and they could be more loyal to you than somebody you know. I had a best friend.
SPEAKER_05How you know? I had a best friend. How they show up 15 years that turn sideways.
SPEAKER_03It's how they show up. I mean, you can't predict what somebody's gonna do in the future. We're talking about as of that moment. Yeah, that moment. So what my baby first triggers loyalty to godfather wasn't there. The way somebody showed up though, I got a man's right now that I only knew for about a year. More solid than niggas, I knew for about 10 of them. Okay, no cat. Okay. And he showed me that instantly. Okay, any year. In a year, and then OMC don't got no time on it.
SPEAKER_05It don't got no time because you said that my right hand's man's 14 years was my you know what I'm saying? But 14 years, and you ain't show up when you had to show up. So it has nothing to do with time, it has what you do to put into your loyalty. So, what you put in, that's basically what you said. Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_02That was easy. That I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say loyalty is not depicted on time or another person's actions, it's in you. Well, I'm not talking about my loyalty, their loyalty, I'm not talking about your loyalty, I'm talking about someone who's loyal to you. So, like, for example, let's say you got a friend and that you just actually you kind of got this situation. So, like your fave, right? You've known people longer than her, but she has shown up in ways that those other friends haven't. Even you said it like, I never really had a friend like this that show up like that. So, even though she don't have as many years invested, her loyalty is like you know what I'm saying? You hear what I'm saying? Yeah, so that's what I mean. Like, not because for you, like for you, you gotta be responsible for your own loyalty. But I'm just saying, like, when it comes to loyal loyalty, and the reason the reason how this question even came about is I was having a conversation with someone yesterday, and they said, Well, I I will be more loyal to this person because I've known them longer, stupid, and I said, Why dummy, stupid crash out that person never showed up for you now? Decisions you make is decisions you make, but that person never showed up for you. Don't come crying when you back door.
SPEAKER_05That's how I felt like I said, well, years later, I knew my man's 14 years, and you ain't sure for your my when it was time to show up. But the the the my man I knew for a couple months popped out.
SPEAKER_03See, that's what I'm saying, and then they get put on this one list that we're not gonna talk about, but it's a list, and then no, no, no, not the block list, it's a special list for people who don't show up because like we call backwards and my fires, like for for example, like redacted one, right?
SPEAKER_02Redacted one, we've been we were friends since the ninth grade, right? Tell me about it, ninth grade. I was in the ninth grade in the 90s, just to put some backstory on it, right? So we literally everybody just we literally were friends for close to 30 years, but when my grandson died, she didn't show up. She's not my friend no more. I don't even talk, she don't even have a name. I wish a nigga would say her name. Her name is redacted, actually, right?
SPEAKER_05But that's how it is, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02So when it comes to loyalty, she ain't got it. Uh-uh, she can.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I know who it is.
SPEAKER_05So but it has nothing to do with time, like it doesn't say it don't have nothing to do with time, but that's the thing.
SPEAKER_02I've seen her be a great friend to other people. I seen it, my man got married, but to me, you ain't it. She can't even, she can't never sit at my table again. She can't come negative. She can't come around me. Do you remember what I told you guys last episode? What we cannot we cannot hold against the next person, the last person when they don't show up for us in waves, she it listen. Can she finish her thing? Let me get it out though.
SPEAKER_03My bad, bro. My heart starts beating fast. No, because my heart starts beating fast.
SPEAKER_02This is a real thing. Go ahead. I think let's say, let's say some not even nothing bad. Mmm, see our family, we rock together. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_01Hold on, hold on. That's why we can't tolerate no listen chat.
SPEAKER_03Listen, chat. Y'all know what Lady Blaze doing right now. She's trying to justify some hoe shit. Yeah, yeah, and you're not gonna be able to, you're not gonna be able to, bro. Listen, for that situation right there, when when my godson passed away, yeah, it was niggas that was that don't even know my little brother, yeah. There, yeah, they was there ready to do whatever. Yeah, nigga, what it was literally niggas that don't even know little bro there putting it. My my one man's came doing donuts because you know my little brother like when niggas spend their cars, yeah, yeah, yeah. What the fuck? And that's loyalty right there. You can't even pull up. I got an uncle right now that don't pull up to shit. I got my goddad, don't pull up to shit. He barely pulled up to shit, and he was there. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like what? Okay, okay, okay. I see what we're talking about. Like, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_03Like, yeah, yeah, for it's not no little shit, like, oh, a random party. We we this ain't no random party we put together. What the my godson passed away, yeah. And you couldn't mind you, this is the redacted. One is a motherfucker that caught me at three o'clock in the morning. Can I get a three-five till tomorrow? Oh, and I'm pulling up, and she all I done been with her and a bum ass nigga done caught her, like, oh, can you bring me some food? Guess what she get her happy ass up and do, okay, pull up and take the nigga some food. You can't even show your face. I got an uncle that my my goddad he pulled up and left. At least he showed his face.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and he came in and he did that due diligence.
SPEAKER_03I seen a couple people that ain't good for right. They at least showed their face, right? And even my uncle that couldn't show his face, he still caught it checked on little bro, and he don't even like the nigga. Right.
SPEAKER_02He ain't lying. He's not none of that.
SPEAKER_05But that's why it's so hard for us to talk about these topics.
SPEAKER_02Oh, my heart beat fast, y'all. Yeah, let me see. So listen, I I do okay. So listen, I'm gonna put it on the record right now. Um, we have a wonderful family, and the trajectory of our family is we are very strong, we are very united, right? Right, and we support each other, we support each other in in wonderful ways, you know what I'm saying? So it is hard for us to accept disloyalty and and shake love that whole shit because what the fuck is you can't even call, you couldn't even call.
SPEAKER_03So that's the you can call me the whole to three five, but you can't call my little brother to make sure he's straight and you love him so bad, and and go crawl under a rock and do something to you.
SPEAKER_02And when she went through that situation, which when she went through a similar situation where she had lost a loved one, if if I'm not mistaken, you guys like pulled up Johnny on the spot.
SPEAKER_03It was like, and it was like I didn't put up Johnny on the spot for this person for less. Yeah, so so a nigga was knocking on her door and she called my phone. You can't call my phone to check to see like to get DJ number. You called me when a nigga knocked on your door at 11 p.m. because you were scared. So you can't say you I done had the same number since high school. Yeah, you might you my so-called godm, right?
SPEAKER_02And you can't, I mean, he ain't lying.
SPEAKER_03I I wouldn't even care about me. You can't check on little bro, and you know what?
SPEAKER_02So you got the nigga on Instagram. Another thing that pissed us off. Well, me, because I I feel like sometimes I be mad by myself, but no, I'm I mean, like in my relationship, not us, like we all mad together. You know what I'm saying? But the day it happened, we were literally five minutes from her house, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because we was at cuz house, right? And she literally lived right there, right? She lived right there.
SPEAKER_02Where she was at home, you know how I know? Because I had her location at the time, she never came over there, she never pulled up. So I said, Okay, everybody handle things differently. Maybe she hurt more than me. She wasn't hurting about shit around that time. I was just over there. But I'm just saying, that's another thing. I was just there. But what I'm saying is I was giving her the benefit of the doubt, right? Maybe you maybe you don't know what to do, right? Boom. I let you live your best life, right? But to never call, to never show your daughter called to call me. Um she made some calls, but they wasn't to me, yeah, and they wasn't to my son. Yeah, I feel like she may have reached out to me about just one thing one time.
SPEAKER_03So you can't say you ain't no because your daughter was I called her, your daughter was involved.
SPEAKER_02Bro, I called her from the hospital. She knew, but she just never showed up. She never showed up. Yeah, she've not I have not seen her face since.
SPEAKER_03Oh, um, this is somebody I used to talk to a lot. I have not talked to her since. She has not even attempted to talk to me. Guilt is this is somebody that I used to talk. I used to go to her house and chill. Yeah, you feel me? That was like you feel me. She was trying to make up for lost times. Okay, I used to go over there all the time. I have not even communicated, like, still to this day. Really? This happened a couple years ago, two years, two years ago. This happened two years ago. I still have not got heard from her.
SPEAKER_02But you know what? Sometimes silence is what we need, right? Silence, silence is the the biggest closure for us. So we were going through something, you bowed out good. You obviously was not, and she was around for a lot of important things that went on. But but you know what happened when I thought about it, was she? She didn't come to my wedding, neither one of them. You know what I'm saying? She didn't come when I had my youngest son and all that we went through. I mean, you nobody could come to the other hospital, but she didn't even call. Yeah, well, she did call in the beginning, but once everything went south, she didn't call. You you you supposed to be my preen friend, yeah. You supposed to been on the phone, yeah. But it's like when something sucked when something happened and you get the thinking, right? When Chuck passed away, she did she did let us do the baby shower at the spot, which was cool, right? She didn't come to his funeral, his funeral was 11 minutes from her house, yeah. So it's like when you get to thinking about shit like that, you're like, damn, I really was that for her, and she wasn't for me. Yeah, and I've seen her be that for other people, yeah. So really it's my bad, yeah, right. But I've known her my whole life, and she has proven herself not to be loyal, yeah. So that's what I mean. Loyalty, and that's what I was trying to. That's what I was trying to tell the person yesterday. You can know a motherfucker your whole life, that don't mean they're gonna be loyal to you at the end of the day.
SPEAKER_03Bingo, because I'm trying to tell you it was niggas that I had just not even knew for longer than 90 days that pulled up for little bro. It don't take that much, bro. No, I don't, it don't, and I'm I'm not talking about some niggas just showed their face and left, they came to the funeral, the repass, the shit after the repass, the the when we went to cuz house just to be there because they don't know because they're trying to see where a nigga head at. Yeah, yeah, bro. My godson died from seeds. These niggas trying to go get back. Oh, own the seeds. They like which we're trying to get outside.
SPEAKER_01They go to the doctor, nigga. We fucking see it. Jesus Christ, y'all niggas crazy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, to understand. We really can't talk on the topic of our family's not like every other family. Yeah, you can't even find a way to justify it.
SPEAKER_02No, you still can't. No, I'm actually about to switch
When People Do Not Show Up
SPEAKER_02gears. That's all it is. No, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so and these are all amazing, amazing, amazing opinions, and and and different standpoints of you know, reality, yeah. What what is to be expected and what's not to be expected. We weren't we run what they say, we run a strict program over here. Yeah, we're definitely very strict, very strict. We can't what you say, we're not justifying no whole shit. And if you got keep your disloyal ass away from here, that's just no, yeah, for sure. And you know what? Oh, I will say maybe it's not this way.
SPEAKER_03Oh Chad the Belgian. That is what we call level 10 trees, and right there. Let's do it. Hey, red wristband for everybody.
SPEAKER_02But I was saying, like, I just feel like because we cannot even be talking to each other, but if we need each other, nigga, we pulling up.
SPEAKER_05But that's been that's been used. Facts, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But we that that's why we can't I don't know.
SPEAKER_05We just there's a there's a level to us to where you we can talk to each other crazy, or not not us, but like in general, our whole family.
SPEAKER_01But when it comes to the outside, oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I remember me and and me and Blaze was intuitive about something, I don't know, but we was going back and forth and redacted because I was at her house, was like, man, F her. I'm like, bitch, I'll beat your ass.
SPEAKER_03Fuck you, mean. Oh, Lady Blaze just got furious.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just saying, like level 10.
SPEAKER_03This is the this the level 10 bill. What's your level 10 over here? No, I'm just saying this shit happened years ago. She's ready to start.
SPEAKER_02But I'm you said me in 2026 or 2022, Miss Ma'am. But I'm just saying, like, bitch, hold on, not too much on mine. You know what I'm saying? Oh, I thought we was mad. Who the fuck is we? No, bitch. I mad.
SPEAKER_01You got an eye on your pocket. You shut the fuck up. You got a mouse in your pocket?
SPEAKER_02Who is we? Listen, the craziest shit ever. Well, why are we talking about this? This shit is so perfect. So uh a situation had just occurred where I needed my sister to step in and help me with some technic technical places, right? So in those moments, uh, Katie had a trans a transaction, uh interaction with a person, and a word was exchanged, a word was thrown out in the atmosphere by Katie, and it was blown, it was it blew over, nothing serious happened. Um, but then it was revisited in conversation later at a later point, and the girls were talking amongst each other, and it was like, Yeah, that one lady walked up and she she was cussing everybody out, and she the girl just said she she said something to me. And I looked and I said, Yeah, that's my sister. Well, we could it could get on the floor, whatever. What what we doing? What we saying? Yeah, I'm two feet away from about to snatch this girl's soul out her whole body.
SPEAKER_03No, no, you know why I don't be invited places because as soon as she would, I would have smacked that bitch so fast, it ain't even nothing to say because if anybody knows me, right? See, you grown are more mature. I don't play about KB, right?
SPEAKER_05But the problem is at least you got most of the girls in the house wasn't playing, it wasn't everybody was playing, but y'all more mature than me though.
SPEAKER_02This is the thing, she was speaking out of a relaxed. We were just talking, right? Right, not too much on my kiki. I I'm supposed to be, right? I tell you this all the time. When we when shit get thick, I'd be like, I'm supposed to be the mature one, and I'm not. Um, but in that moment, I reacted so quick, but I seen it in her face. She was nervous, she nervous, but then she really didn't know. She said your guys' aunt. I don't know why the fuck everybody thinks I'm one of y'all, like I'm I'm not not a kid, like y'all mean you know, I kind of am the oldest, right?
SPEAKER_03Almost you feel me.
SPEAKER_02I am I'm I'm literally the oldest. So when she said, Oh, your aunt, thought she was so much. No, no, she thought she thought she was my aunt. That's not my aunt, that's my sister. And say another syllable.
SPEAKER_03What funny story? Me and my friends got banned from a whole school because of KD. True story, and almost went to jail because a nigga called her a b word at a game, and it was the only game we didn't go to. This was like 2018, so no 2019 because it was senior year with the last 2019, and we thought and we thought it was a good idea to walk from our school about two hours to their school to go find these niggas that call her a b-word at a basketball game the day before. Yeah, they called the police so fast. Yeah, I'm sure they didn't.
SPEAKER_02First of all, they done they done put their now. We know that chooses our battles wisely, yeah. Definitely wise, and in that moment, it wasn't yes, uh in that moment, it wasn't me choosing. I could see it in her face. First of all, she didn't know what the fuck she was talking about, and that'd be the problem. That's the quickest way to get smacked. Oh, first of all, I took the top off the down Julio bottom instead of yeah, me and me, me and about to rearrange everything in here.
SPEAKER_03What and then what people don't realize about KD, like maybe her friends that she talked to on a daily, but her friends that she don't talk to on a daily, like that she talks to every once in the blue moon. KD got a lot of kids that's not hers, right? And all I gotta do is I don't even gotta make a post. If I did make a post and said somebody did something to KD, you know it's crazy. Detroit to bring the FBI here. I can tell you that right now.
SPEAKER_05I see my idea.
SPEAKER_02I said, but you might he're gonna tell the police take him to jail. He said, he said, I'm not getting a car with her. Can you take me to jail?
SPEAKER_03Well, don't forget this was a redacted situation, so you guys are saying stuff.
SPEAKER_02No, this pretense, but this was fake. This is funny. I just want to tell y'all this story that happened. This is just really funny. So so I haven't so I haven't worked in the office in in since November, right? So Tuesday, I went to the office and my badge didn't work. So the gentleman, the security guard let me in, and he was like, Oh, you shred and Tay mom.
SPEAKER_05I'd be like, I have no idea.
SPEAKER_02I said, but he he said they're real names.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02So I said, Yeah, and he was like, You don't remember me? I used to be at your house all the time, like you fed me. This was like back when we used to have 15. He was like, I know there's a lot of us you probably don't remember me.
SPEAKER_05That's what ungused had a lot of stats. Yep, so I'm like, I'm like, No, I remember you. Listen, y'all.
SPEAKER_02So he typed my name in a computer, and my name wasn't coming up. So he said, I just give I just give you a badge, and you could just go in. I said, Nah, baby, you can't do that, you'll lose your job. And he was like, No, I know you, you wouldn't lie to me. So he was trying to get my badge, wasn't working, and my name wasn't coming up. He was gonna give me a badge, but that just goes to say, because I got a lot of kids, and I don't know, I don't even know all my kids, apparently. But I just wanted to share that. Like, shout out to him because he was like about to break all the rules for me. I'm like, Yeah, but my computer probably don't work either, so we still we still need a grown-up, like, but yeah, but but for that in that situation, what I said was stop looking at me, you pissing me off. Casey, get your friend.
SPEAKER_05That's what I said. That's not even her friend.
SPEAKER_02Well, they were sitting next to each other, and I and she said, I told you she was gonna be mad.
SPEAKER_05Stop looking at her, like I told her that she don't listen, they don't.
SPEAKER_02So that's what that's what that's what I said. Which okay, I couldn't handle it different, but I was pissed, and I said, Lee, I'm angry.
SPEAKER_03You don't have to handle anything differently.
SPEAKER_02I'm angry, leave me alone.
SPEAKER_03Matter of fact, next time do it worse.
SPEAKER_02No, please don't I'm not.
SPEAKER_03I got yelled at one thing. You knew you was getting yelled at. That's why you said take me to jail. He said, I am not getting back. He said the officer said, You know what? I was supposed to take you to jail, but you so scared.
SPEAKER_01Um you could go here, I'm gonna release you to hurt from scared, not me. Dog said, What the fuck she doing? Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_03I was like, fun fact about Stred. When I go to jail, I don't even call KD.
SPEAKER_01That's true.
SPEAKER_03I'm already in jail. I'm not trying to hear that.
SPEAKER_02I'm already in jail, I don't need to hear nothing else.
SPEAKER_03That's I gotta go on the relationship uh podcast because I got a funny story for y'all. All that red wristband, dumbass shit we was talking the next day, jinxed myself hard as it 24 hours later.
SPEAKER_05Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02All right, all right, guys. So that that was great. That was great. Thank you guys for your feedback on that. So moving into our next topic.
Why Consistency Feels So Rare
SPEAKER_02Consistency is attractive until you realize how rare it is. And maybe that's why it's attractive. Here we go. Like a like off, take off, like a cut. Commodity or like a you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03No, it was a joke.
SPEAKER_02I'm about to say C O don't play, don't play with your girl. Your your girl's a whole author. Don't do me. Yeah, okay. Still waiting on us. Licensed and certified.
SPEAKER_03I ain't gonna tell y'all what we're waiting on.
SPEAKER_02Okay, moving along and don't turn around. Moving along. Excuse me, ma'am. I said don't turn around.
SPEAKER_03Why would Maya J Maya?
SPEAKER_02I said don't turn around. Oh, she wasn't even listening to us. I think consistency is attractive because it's it's like it's like a rarity, it's like a pink pearl. You know what I'm saying? It's like it don't exist. So when you when you get something that or someone who is super consistent, does that make you does that make you like shy away? Does that make you like um I can make you go all in? It makes you go all in because it's something you're not used to, right? But do you get tired of consistency? You should never get tired of consistency. Yeah, dopamine shoody, dopamine shooty. So you have to have some kind of consistency, definitely consistency, but like I'm not saying like a little bubble.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I'm not saying repetitiveness, and I'm not saying stagnancy. That's different, yeah. Even routine is hard for me. Oh, I swear. I think I got ADHD. Well, maybe as you get older, because I'm older than all you guys, right? And I'm older than you. I'm definitely, I'm for sure older than you, 100%.
SPEAKER_06No doubt of my mind.
SPEAKER_02Approximately 19 years, but but what I'm saying is like as you get older, consistency is attractive because you don't want to have to think of all the things, right?
SPEAKER_05But should like that'd be both ways, though.
SPEAKER_02But I still, even when you like consistency, I still love spontaneous, you know what I'm saying? Spontanity, that's what it is. I still love that. It's just like consistency is like you know your routine. Yeah, I wake up.
SPEAKER_05I got flowers, orange.
SPEAKER_03I ain't gonna lie, it's hard for me to be consistent because every every day I wake up, I don't know where my head is at. Well, that's like every different day. I literally wake up every day feeling a different way. Do you feel like that is an issue that with a little shadow work you would be able to resolve? I feel like it'd be hard because I notice everything. Like people who are consistent tend to look over certain things.
SPEAKER_05I don't agree, but like you don't think so in your last week episode. I feel like your dad's one of the most consistent people you know. What should you have done by the time I get home? He do.
SPEAKER_02No, what's no no no no have done before we get here. Well, same, it's the same thing. No, that's self-reflection. Like, honestly, have that done before you get here. Be have that done before I get there. Is the things that you need to have sorted out as a person, as a as a human, before you enter. I just said that because he'll talk about self-love. So, like, to be honest with you, that is something that you need to have before I get home, but before we get together. So, before I get there, it's before you and I become one. Okay, okay. That's why that's why I said the financial thing.
SPEAKER_03This is real life. In real life, being consistent in a relationship is hard because I can't even be consistent in shit. I do in life ever. I'm not consistent in nothing. I would what do I do? I bro, I will wake up like, damn, I think I want to be an architect today. Oh like like a real life. I didn't like every I wake up. I'm I'm 24, bro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like right now, you're living in that space, still figuring shit out. Yeah, that's what it is. You're still figuring it out, but you still have some consistency, right? Because you have a family, right? Right. So you have to be consistent in your I'm talking about your nuclear family, like your girl and your baby, right? Right, so it's right, you have consistency there because you gotta get up, y'all gotta have breakfast, you gotta change breakfast. But it's so crazy because sometimes I don't even eat breakfast. Well, what I what I'm saying is then he cooked breakfast, and then two days in a row, we didn't. I was like, what the hell?
SPEAKER_05You don't eat breakfast. I swear everything changed, everything.
SPEAKER_02So even if you take that part out, you change diapers every day. Facts, you make bottles every day, facts inevitable. So you do have some some things are not inevitably the same, right? So the way how we care, right? You know what I'm saying? How we care, yeah. The consistency. So for I'm gonna just jump on this for for my statement. For me, um consistency is attractive until you realize how rare it is. It's like finding a unicorn, right? You know what I'm saying? And this in this great horse maze, you're like, damn, you're you're this dream, okay. And it makes you appreciate it, either it makes you appreciate what you have or it makes you withdraw. Because sometimes when things are going too good, and you I sweat, you what's how you wait on the other shoe to drop? You're waiting on the other shoe to drop because you're anticipation.
SPEAKER_03We can't we can't talk about that though, right? Because, like you said, when you're not ready for a relationship, I'm not ready for a relationship. So even if the motherfucker was being consistent, I didn't care because I'm not consistent and I'm not ready for a relationship. Okay, so that shit don't matter.
SPEAKER_02But what about when consistency becomes redundant? I think that's the problem. You're like, oh, it's Tuesday. This nigga finna bring me flowers, exactly. It becomes predictable, it becomes predictable.
SPEAKER_03So, what the fuck? I waste my time being all this consistent, and now you complain about some whole different. I'm content, I'm consistent. I bring you flowers every Tuesday. Now you're like, uh, this nigga bring me flowers. Well, how about this? Fuck you and have a very nice day.
SPEAKER_02Um, I don't shred, I love you, honey. I don't think that is the answer. Well, what I just don't think that's it. All right, but but to speak to what you're saying before we close. Uh we're we just got our our our closing timer. To speak on what Shred is saying, once you do things so much, then it kind of becomes like, oh, I know it becomes predictable, and it's less it's less appreciated, it's less appreciated into expect. No, what is I what I always say? Appreciation comes turns into uh I can't think of it. You know, D Tim, you know what I'm talking about? When I say the worst thing is when appreciation turns into expectation, maybe yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So now it's Tuesday and I don't get flowers, and now I'm not talking to you all day because why the fuck you ain't getting me flowers?
SPEAKER_03But I'm fucked up, right? I just got laid off. My job ain't even consistent. You talking about me being consistent. What the fuck?
SPEAKER_05Well, you ask me if I was okay, but you were about some flowers, man. But I'm am I okay? Oh, cuz fuck if we okay. This little man, we'll holler at y'all next week.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, hold on, nigga. You can't you can't nigga. This is not your show. Exactly. You are not the birthday, nigga. What's the word?
SPEAKER_02Well, we gotta do, we gotta do our word before we leave.
SPEAKER_03This nigga think he the podcast. The word the uh oh that that shit ain't crack you all up.
SPEAKER_02Fuck on when you say a word and I gotta say a word, they gotta say a word. Okay, okay, he is not the podcast, and not you are not the cocktail or the girl talk, honey. At all, but I got something to think about for next week. No, okay, because we always dropping MPs on our fans and letting us letting them know the male perspective to every girl chat that we have. So
